DOLDRUMS

I SIT BEFORE THE COMPUTER,
NOT A SINGLE THOUGHT IN MY HEAD
 I'VE HIT A MENTAL BLOCK,
I MIGHT AS WELL GO TO BED

BUT SOMETHING DEEP WITHIN ME
SAYS  "I'M IN HERE JUST LET ME OUT"
I DUST IN ALL THE CORNERS
TRYING TO FIND WHAT THAT'S ABOUT

SO MANY THINGS TO THINK OF
WITH THE HOLIDAYS  DRAWING NEAR,
THERE'S SANTA CLAUS AND HIS LITTLE ELVES
AND OF COURSE , HIS MIGHTY REINDEER

AND THEN THERE IS THE SANTA SLEIGH,
IT NEEDS A LITTLE PAINT
AND TIGHTENING UP THE RUNNERS
'CAUSE A ROCKET SHIP, IT AIN'T

THE ELVES ARE BUSY MAKING TOYS,
FOR ALL THE GOOD GIRLS AND BOYS
AND OUT IN THE  BARN,THE DEER ARE EATING HAY
AND FLEXING THEIR LEGS FOR THE COMING BIG DAY

IT ISN'T EASY, TO TELL YOU THE TRUTH,
TO KEEP THAT SLEIGH FROM SLIPPING OFF THE ROOF
WELL, SO FAR IT'S NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE
BUT ONE YEAR , GOING DOWN THE CHIMNEY,  SANTAS PANTS GOT TORE

NOW, THAT DIDN'T STOP HIM FROM MAKING HIS TRIP
HE DELIVERED THE TOYS AND WENT ON HIS WAY,
BACK TO THE NORTH POLE, QUICK AS A WHIP
TO GET A NICE REST ,BEFORE NEXT YEARS TRIP
