the piper in county cork
i heard a piper play from a castle in county cork
high up in its tower the piper he would walk
playing on his pipes to the tune of danny boy.
such a sight to see it brought me lots of joy
i sat there and i listened to his lovely tune
such a lovely melody i began to swoon
the piper stood there playing on the tower top
until the sun went down the time for him to stop
i wont forget the day i went out for a walk
and heard a piper play in dear old county cork
