What do we do then? Tell me!
Do we take the easy way out?
Or do we just stay strong,
And leave and work it out?
Do we throw away our lives?
Because we fear what we don't know!
Sit back and be forever unhappy,
Do we stay, instead of go!
The trepidation of the unknown,
Tends to stop us in our tracks,
We want to move on to the future,
But feel the wall's against our backs!
Do we stay in sadness but be in comfort?
No money worries, but fear and strife,
Or do we march on ahead,
And make a brand new happy life?
We can't see into the future,
We don't know what's ahead,
But one thing is for certain,
We are a long time dead!
We only have one life,
What we do with it is our choice,
But one thing I know for certain,
We need to use our voice!
We should tell the tale how it is,
And never hide ourselves away,
For how we deal with our situation,
Is what makes us happy and paves the way!
Paves the way to a happy life,
To knowing how life should be…
It shouldn't be made so unhappy,
That we have to live in misery!
Only the individual can make that choice,
Of a happy life or a life in fear,
Being controlled and bullied,
When it makes us not think very clear!
We are scared to make that move,
And yes, it's very hard to do,
But make that choice, move forward,
It's the very least that you can do!
For no one will do it for us,
No one will make that choice but we…
Don't be afraid, for though it's hard,
I did it, and it worked for me!
Yes, there are times you will struggle,
Sometimes things will be hard, so it seems,
But at the end of the day, it's a small price to pay…
For finding, and following our dreams!
