Strayed from the Path
Please have pity on me,
And help my heart to see;
Where I had strayed from Your path,
So I can be spared Your wrath.
Wipe out my rebellious acts,
In ridding where it impacts;
And wash me of all my guilt,
Dissolving where sin was built.
I am a rebellious man,
That sets out making a plan;
Which is contrary to Yours,
And takes me through the wrong doors.
But I realize in my life,
That the toils and the strife;
Have made me to hide my face,
With living life in disgrace.
Please wash me whiter than snow,
That will let my faith to glow;
And to hear the sounds of joy,
So songs of gladness employ.
Create in me a clean heart,
For giving me a fresh start;
Renew a right spirit in,
That will be immune to sin.
