ONE DAYThe very oldest way n only way That a marriage ll work always Is when two married both decide to Work as one and then the marriage stays But when they both have different lives Its only a matter of natural time And slowly life decays what they have And soon gone a union so divine Theres always blame its always the same In this later now day n age But the resons are away so far Older ways now turned a brand new page Oldest ways in much grander days Marriage was a very sacred thing But the thinking of these later years Just dont any more have that life like ring There are some its true old ways still do And they will stay as one for life And inlove with his blessings from above But so many just dont know of future strife Too many distractions now a days Too much many feel they simply have to do Pressures from the world now that be All take there toll on marriage its ever true One day Im going to go away n I intend so to stay Where theres a way simpler older way of life And all this later destroying marriage n love Does not have at all its decaying strife Where souls are still as long ago can be found And a marriage is no matter what for life And its there beyong simple compare I know Ill see life out in old husband and wife Its very far away and there one day Ill stay And happiness I know there I will find And with without all above n only true love Ill find as well real true peace of mind Terrence Michael Sutton copyright 2010 Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
