There, right there was last we saw
Upon taking from our sock draw
Glasses, my eyes needed today
Now gone they've seem to slip away
How could have they just disappeared
Question I asked myself in fear
Inside my home this mystery
Would need detective work you see
We combed each room with fine tooth pick
Looking for clues we would admit
Careless just leaving them right there
Upon dresser no glasses bared
We searched both high and low for them
No suspects here to apprehend
A crime unreal, how could one steal
The specs that gave us sex appeal
We led search party under the bed
Hitting the frame above our head
Each nook and cranny of every room
Time soon would past and spell their doom
Cried out to them seeking our loss
The price we payed too high a cost
To just give up or just give in
To call my doctor for new prescription
No funny papers or news we'd read
Book of poems no clues to lead
What could have happened to them we need
Our loss today would mean no reads
Then like magic they just appeared
In hands of one I hold so dear
Just shy of two granddaughter sweet
Would come to give my missing peeps
No doubt guilty as charged you see
What once was mine was now clearly
On tiny face worn upside down
With fingerprints all hers around
The case now solved, now what to do
With her that smiles and loves me too
Should we press charges or just take hold
Of one who borrowed and my heart stole
