Hope
How do I write about springtime in words
Is it in the melody of the birds
Is it in the cool breeze passing by
Is it in the way the clouds float in the sky
Alone I stand gazing over fields of rich green
Most beautiful sight I have ever seen
Trees flourishing in full bloom
Flowers, scent of nature's perfume
Wicker basket beside me
Feeling light like feathers pleasantly free
I'll pick flowers as I dance along
Humming springtime's splendid song
Hair blowing like the gentle breeze
Bare arms swinging, no more icy winter freeze
Indulging in bright sunshine hours
Swirling, twirling through vibrant flowers
Looking beyond the thriving landscape
Wishing I could fly, springtime my great escape
Hope awakening springtime sings
Chasing butterflies fluttering flapping their wings
Rejoice mother earth is born without pain
Springtime has arrived, budding hope again
