 'Night-time Mistress'

Through the quiet leaves I see her
Beautiful eyes shine down on me,
Peaceful serenity, as twilight now nestles
Upon the garden, where all has settled.

Energy grows in leaps and bounds
Released in wonder, for all to grasp,
It allows us to envision the wonders within
Our mind, where her future is cast.

The sky is alive with glittering stars
Which dance as they float within space,
They're timeless, filled with knowledge untold
With a simple, yet elegant grace.

Every night they come alive and reveal themselves so true,
Yet even when the night has past they are there in skies of blue,
The same with nature's night-time mistress, though vacant she may seem,
But she is there among the stars, that glitter constantly.

~ The moon was breathtaking on the night I wrote this. It's a shame it's not noticed more.
People who never take the time to look are so unaware of what they are truly missing, for
when I look at it shinning so round and huge it feels like I could just reach out and touch it.
How wonderful that would be. Take a bit of time, especially when the evening is free of
distractment to enjoy what is given free, for it is there for everyone to enjoy ~ R.B.
