The Little Merman
He swims not far but far enough
In waters clear, not waters rough
A place where friend he'll meet and kiss
Under the sea where he finds bliss
A brief hello to Gull above
With one deep breath he'll dive and love
Those he'll swim along side too
His Kingdom wet and tranquil blue
How great to be just one of them
If just awhile he would contend
No better place to be with one
A place his own with loved someone
He too looks forward for his presence
To be again subject and present
With Prince he serves that has no fin
But swims like fish almost like him
They'll swim today from dawn till dusk
But once again return he must
To world his kind walk on two feet
Not as graceful in sea his keep
Friendship he shares with time his own
Human for now, Merman condones
As his tomorrow's will soon become
Another day swimming with subject one
