broken polos or broken dreams
in today's day and age
it's all the same it would seem
so we post post-it notes
for a chance to redeem
a life that's been broken
torn apart at the seam
like human activities
disrupting the route of a stream
or non-profit organisations
with their get-rich quick schemes
to the well-minded activists
who take ideals to extremes
I say if a tree falls in the woods
I can still hear it scream
and if I punch all the holes
and follow the regime
and if I thought hard enough
I could come up with a theme
that would make me a million
and this season's supreme
the enduring personality
regarded with self-esteem
but I guess all I really wanted
was to let off some steam
in a world that's been littered
with broken polos and dreams
