(The first poem for Rosemerry was lost when I dropped my computer... so this is why this is called the 2nd poem for Rosemerry)
I have a fleeting memory of her
Seeing a kindred spirit smiling
Not knowing,
Then the embrace
Where I spilled out words
To a fellow poet goddess
Who was forever imprinted
By the words lost
Who never forgot
Their impression
On her heart,
They left a
Permanent smile.
Then months
And years
Pass…
Two Buddha's
Reunited embrace.
Hugs that are
Unabashedly warm
Two stars
Erupting in
Mutual joy
Some call it
A supernova,
We call ourselves
Friends.
We take turns
Inspiring one another
To ever greater
Heights…
We find them
In the depths of
the feelings we create
with words that
slip past our
tongues
as we skip through
the fruit orchards
where thesauruses
drip off the trees…
this is where
the poet goddesses
dance with
fairy children
called sonnets
they danced
to iambic
pentameter.
I can't wait
To see her again.
Who knows
What will be born
Next time,
Song
Or rhyme…
