Many of us may fall head long into our own personal valley
It's a lonely place, a dark confusing pit, a long dark alley
If we are experiencing a full life, there will be ups and downs
On the straight and narrow way to receive our heavenly crowns
There is something we can remember to make life easier to bear
Take a moment to find strength and courage in God's loving care
We may have to go through painful lessons on our earthly travel
And no-one knows exactly when our raw nerves will begin to unravel
Most of us fail to learn unless we go through some kind of pain
The valley grabs our attention when we slip off the smooth plain
A valley experience teach us to become aware of our mistakes
We must strive towards our full potential no matter what it takes
Faith and trust in Christ can enrich the life lessons we learn
Our lives will change to receive God's graces which we'll earn
