The Famous Unknown

Why do crimes and terrorism continue to be,
There might be an easy answer to see.
When someone does a terrible task,
society never tries to give them a mask.
We always name them in such detail,
they never go anomalously to jail.
When we give the crime doer a name,
Creating their fifteen minutes of fame,
It opens a psychological door,
letting other criminals strive for more.
Leaving a name for us to see,
forever etched in our history.
If the crimes went by with names unsung,
not giving attachment to the things they've done.
then the names not planted into human minds,
may detour individuals from severe crimes.
Whether raping one person or killing eight,
to be unknown should be their fate.
Alone they should sit within a dark cell,
without recognition trapped in their own hell.
