How can we know just whom to trust?
The decision to believe is very hard
Got me a peculiar email yesterday
At once I was lead to be on my guard
The email came from a poetry friend
A sad call for help in her time of need
My heart was touched by her request
A chance to do her a Samaritan's deed
She told about her trip to Africa
A voice inside cautioned me to pause
She was stranded and lost her purse
The small voice warned,
"Don't fall into this shark's jaws"
So I contacted another poetry friend
She told me the message was a bad hoax
The innocent lady's computer was hijacked
Can you believe the nerve of some folks?
