 My today's thoughts

music - Eric Clapton - Danny Boy
He is my favorite guitar player after my son Tommy Collier

His name was Danny O'shea
One of those special creations of God

Full of the blarney with a quick wit
Hair coal black - shoulders a mile wide

Eyes of emerald green with a sparkles of mischief dancing bright
Oh Danny Boy -  one of God's favorite children

My heart did melt at the sound of his voice
I could feel a blush to my cheek when he was near

Time seemed to stand still
Our new emotions we didn't understand

We were both fourteen
How my heart yearned to be older

Our dear sweet love of youth
We gathered shells on the shore piling them in a heap

The sun warmed our backs and hearts
There was an ache that only young love can impart

Danny O'shea  still to this day
hold a special place in my heart that only he can fill

I am sure now his black hair has turned to gray
BUT  I bet his smile could still make my day
