Without Rhyme Or Reason
Aftermath
The candle burned,
So long,
So bright,
Flame faltered,
Flickered,
Night by night,
A lover's prayer,
Cast on the rune,
A dying flame,
Caressed by moon,
A breeze blew hard,
No tears were shed,
True thoughts transferred,
From heart and head,
The candle burned,
There was no more,
The aftermath,
Lay on the shore.
