A Picture of Peace
Always be joyful in the Lord,
Not showing anger with the sword;
Having compassion is by far,
The type of Christian that you are.
Show others how considerate,
Besides being compassionate;
To anyone that you may meet,
Hospitality as you greet.
Rejoice in the Lord I will say,
And praising Him throughout each day;
For that He has given to you,
Of what you need to get you through.
For He has put joy in my heart,
That my lips and tongue will impart;
While giving thanks in my prayer,
With my requests to God I share.
A picture of peace in my mind,
The love God holds for all mankind;
To think of all that He has done,
Especially giving His Son.
For the peace of God goes beyond,
What understanding I respond;
Since my mind cannot comprehend,
How far His glory will transcend.
