Sometimes.......
Sometimes when I'm lonely
and only in my head -
I only see the blackness
that comes when you are dead...
Sometimes when I'm singing
and flinging notes in tune -
I only see the pattern
that echoes in my room...
Sometimes when I'm crying
and sighing at the pain -
I only see the storm clouds
that flood with too much rain...
Sometimes when I'm smiling
and filing all the fun -
I only see the picnic
and laughter in the sun...
Sometimes when I'm racing
and chasing round and round -
I only see the anxious
and constant heavy pound...
Sometimes when I'm dreaming
and scheming plans to play -
I only see the pleasing
that makes a perfect day...
