Battle Weary
His wings tire from battle front
Resting them now from war they brunt
Breathing relief ponders this thought
Who next to guard mission now sought
The carnage takes it's share today
Of those unsaved who walk away
From GOD who sent him to stand guard
Against fire breathed on him hard
Hard headed yet are those he came
To guard what should have took the blame
Unworthy souls that whine and take
More than their share and GOD forsake
Yet still LOVE sent and sends this day
To guard His all with life his lay
Protect children that fall as prey
Show no remorse to evil slayed
Sometimes the job is snatched by hands
Of those ungrateful souls Hell damns
From vigilant Angel who guards
Making his task not easy hard
His time to rest will be short lived
As rain pours down on him who gives
His wings a break from war unseen
By eyes so blind and souls unclean
Thank GOD he'll say if up to him
He'd banish all who embrace sin
As thunder rolls and lightning claps
Waking once more Angel who naps
So stand he will again to be
The shield that guards what GOD does see
A job given to him decreed
Angel of GOD, of love and mercy
