Of Great Sacrifice
Time would come to give birth to
A child her own that would be too
Held for a time not long enough
Yet held with love to give Him up
Young mother, great sacrifice
Would be all hers, his life her price
To give the world to him who came
Into this world blessed with their name
For nine months she nourished one
She called her own, beloved son
Who soon would come to know two others
A dad to call and soon new mother
Her sacrifice would yield a life
To grow and learn to fly a kite
Above all things was her one dream
To give a chance to live his dreams
Her hurt became ones happiness
For life she gave up innocence
In hands that sought but could not have
One of their own, moments once sad
Years would pass young man would come
To knock on door of hers, her son
Would come to say thanks mom once more
While held in arms as once before
