PALM SUNDAY (Acrostic)

Looking towards Good Friday

P eople came for Passover in Jerusalem
A s Jesus enters the city riding on a colt
L aying down palm branches before Him
M any shouting hosanna would later revolt

S till Jesus knew that His time had now come
U nderstanding He was fulfilling God's plan
N o government could change the outcome
D ying to pay the price for sins of every man
A ll the suffering and pain He had to endure
Y et the tomb would not hold Him for sure

Zechariah 9:9 (NIV)
Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion! Shout, Daughter of
Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and
having salvation, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a
colt, the foal of a donkey.
