It's raining again.
I have a head full of rivers,
and a heart full of oceans.
My arms haven't learned the rhythms
of swimming the rapids.
Uncertain of the current,
I'm asking,
assured it's the right question...
Hasn't it rained quite enough?
Many nice girls drown cold
in the wide rising waters.
They can't recall how to float.
It's raining again
My limbs are limp-tired from paddling.
I was told
I will become someone I know,
wide-awake and not tired of who I have been.
It's raining again.
I can see no horizon.
just sky and earth
mingled together, as one.
