The New Covenant
The days are coming soon,
When you see a full moon;
As it turns a blood red,
Just as the Lord has said.
A new promise to make,
Proof He will not forsake;
The promise that was made,
To ancestors conveyed.
God took them by the hand,
Brought them out of the land;
Where they were being slaves,
Digging the Egyptian graves.
But jilted and ignored,
The promise from the Lord;
Not being in a heart,
Of His Word to impart.
God puts what we were taught,
Into blood that has bought;
The very heart and soul,
Of each one to console.
A means for us to live,
The Lord will to forgive;
For our sinful debt,
And a chance to forget.
