The Root

                           3/05

through the forest roots the trees
deep from planted seeds,
they flow within and that's the
unspoken truth,
they intertwine, sometimes combine;
but don't complain,
waving their leaves talking about the
Sun woke me up too early or
the dew on my leaves is going to make me sick;
they grow with the flow,
and some marinate(hibernate) in the snow;

through the forest roots the trees
deep from planted seeds, as deep
as a black hole abyss;
sinking and falling into a timeless space
where life is realized;

through the forest roots the trees
deep from planted seeds,
when death it comes in threes,
and like the fall leaves turn three colors;

depths of the truth lye beneath the roots...
