From the Heart Through the Pen

I hate how my brain works
Realizing just what a jerk
I have become through the years
And now all I'm left with are ______
Yea, you fill in the blank
Funny I can't even say
Yet three words linger
Yet you come up with four
Beat deafening to my drums
And all I can manage is a hum
My how you notice a great thing
When it's just about gone
Song producing a new tune
About a woman whose birthday
Is twelve days before June
Can I take these earphones out
Can't go through life with this pout
All I can do is pray for ness of the happy kind
Pray that peace is all that runs through her mind
Not for the past present or future
Just for the remarkable creature
That somehow I hurt
In some way, shape or form
A Rainbow I've turned
Into A Storm
