Mind, Body, & Soul

Y do we love the ones we can't have?
is it the chase like pac-man
always running behind mrs. pac-man;
or is it just love;
She is always around, hovering, holding
me down on the low;

She is the one;
my secret protector;
always in the background
holding me up;
built strong like a tonka truck
at night when all thoughts become dormant
as I slumber, is when She comes to me;
whispering in my ear, negating all hidden fears;
things I dare not reveal;
She is the one; the light that never dims,
burning 4 me like an endless wick;
no flicker, Her shine always is there,
when all others go out, She's my rock;
my spark keeping my heart;
sometimes I attempt to comprehend it,
but over the years I've learned just to embrace
what my conscious mind wants to erase,
however my subconscious will never forget Her grace;
most don't take the time to see beyond the flesh,
but with Her all I can view is the pump of her heart
through her chest;
She's the world, like nature I'm forever connected to Her;
Her spirit is merged to my soul, no longer
will I ignore what God has in heaven's store 4m4;
selfishly I borrowed what didn't belong to me,
however like Excalibur I had to let go
and throw Her back into the lake;
maybe if I'm more than blessed my
She will return to my spirit;
filling my empty void;
completing my mind, body, & soul
