 The Jester

I may be a clown but I'm nobodies fool
When meeting me that is my golden rule.
I may be the court jester or the circus clown
Make a fool of me you will find I'm not fooling around.

I try to get by with a smile and a grin
Outside all smiles but a serious side within.
To make people laugh, to me is a pleasure truly a joy
If you demean the lash of my tongue will smart, my words will destroy.

A simple man from humble kind but mark my words not simple in mind
Quick of wit a cheeky grin, he is me and I am him, as you'll find one of a kind.
So always be aware and remember, if you bump into I, my golden rule
I may be a clown but nobodies fool.
