 once upon a time

johnmcguckin78gmailcomheathergibsonjohnnyduncangeishashadowsontheheart
And the children died Our children fought and they died
Then our children's children picked up the gun
The struggle continued.

Whether it is in Belfast, Palestine, Ecuador or Afghanistan
Our children were relentless and they died
Whilst throughout the world bankers enjoined.
They forced their farce of alien government upon a righteous people.

The bloodied years passed, our children’s bodies amassed.
On hunger strike they died whilst we listened to the politicians’ lies
Demanding that "we the people" accept their burning BUSH
And still the children died

Now we have grown old and have become grandparents
Nothing changes, our children are still dying

Written in memory of the men and women on hunger strike in h blocks and Armagh..N Ireland/6 counties
