Ants

Ants!  Oh what wonderful and industrious creatures
Ants  they are some sagacious and  good teachers
Demonstrating that they are blessed with a special gift
Inherent in them called thrift

On most occasions are seen  to be always toiling
Gathering, amassing,  stocking piling and storing
Sending a message to observers and to them is such a way
Telling them it is wise to put  something away for a rainy day

Another thing they do  on passing touch each other even lightly
Perhaps  to greet, or to see if they are from the same colony
When there is a task that seem so onerous ,  it is with  disciplined unity
That they reduce it to simply  nothing and quite swiftly

Image that  beings so minute can  strive
To work together and  doing it unsupervised
Place the well developed human in that situation
The position of a leader would bring some confrontation

What is more even after a heavy down pour
They come  out and continue to work some more
Letting very little their task and purpose  negate
Those little ants for motivation we should emulate.
