 <*>A Tender Love Grew<*>
Florence Nightingale Pictures, Images and Photos

This tale took place years ago in the midst of WW11
As bombs fell o're the battle fields a tender love grew
An English soldier wounded lay in the care of a nurse
In that army hospital he regained his strength anew

The love affair blossomed bright between the lucky pair
He was not the arrogant type nor did he care to impress
His manner was not haughty and slender was his statute
But she saw his heart of gold and loved his soft finesse

Back they sailed for his home in England after being wed
Of course she did not guess that he had planned a scheme
She did not suspect her husband was a bona fide "Lord"
A mansion grand awaited them beyond her wildest dream

On reaching England's chilly shores she had a great surprise
The lovely bride was shocked to learn how vast was their estate
She then became so overwhelmed her tears like raindrops fell
He felt blessed in knowing that he'd found his true soul mate

We can only imagine our joy when the Lord calls us home
In like manner we'll be overwhelmed by our mansions grand
Our treasures which we've stored in heaven will be there
Nothing on earth can compare with our blessed Lord's plan

No mind has conceived what God has
