Poetic Verses
Columbus
It was Columbus' great quest
That he would someday sail west
He thought this would put him eastern bound
Since he perceived the world to be round
When he saw those native eyes slanted
He rejoiced and really took it for granted
But did not see the incidentals
That they just resembled Orientals
His sailors with their armored chest,
Were like today's policemen bulletproof vests
Some were lost for words
As they gaped at two edged swords
Take a look at the an Amerindian carefully
There is a striking resemblance to those living easterly
So Columbus died with his mind bent
That he had somehow reached the Orient
There is good in this misconception
As it did opened a new direction
And also erased all those superstition
Then cast on the Atlantic Ocean
This opened a new page in history
Through Laws, Piracy and even Slavery
So countries sent settle to colonize the territories
This increased the racial diversities.
