I NEED A HUG
A good friend told me
A long time ago
That her life was a plateau
And mine was a roller coaster.
Life has always been this way
For both of us.
But, with the help of my loving God
I have taught myself
To relish in the calm and peaceful sun-filled days
And to survive the dark and frighteningly dangerous nights.
Many times this works for me --
But sometimes I need a hug.
