I keep thinking
About you reading
That poem
About old souls
And making love
Under an Italian
Sky 5000 years
Ago…
And how normally
I would stare
Into your eyes
And I couldn't take
My eyes off your mouth
Like it was
The most beautiful
Thing
I had ever seen
Or heard…
And the words
Of your boyfriend
Echoing in my
Ear of the depth
Of your reading
This time
Was like no other
And I thinking
That it was obvious
Because it was
Me there,
And how we
Both knew
That we were
The old souls
Reconnecting,
Then,
Here,
Now…
The mobius Strip
Made whole
And complete…
There was a
Special smile
Slight
At the upturned
Corners of your mouth
And a gleam
On your teeth
Like heaven
Was shinning a light
On us,
Between us.
I have saved
Our memory
In a poem
For posterity…
Because I never want
To forget,
How,
For one moment
Others looked on,
When,
There were only
Two beings
In a single
Moment,
That communed
Across time
& space,
made love,
never touching,
but with
the fingertips
of words,
& vibrations
of the Universe.
