PLAYERS
PLAYERS
With great regret we watch
As players leave the stage of life
Some we knew, others we loved
Most we had never met they simply
Strolled off stage.
Their performance we miss each and every one enacted out
Great drama, enriching our lives,
With their unequalled valour, showing we
The actors great dedication to the art of living
Sadly those we loved, and the ones we hardly knew
They walked away from centre stage
Small or large parts whichever they played left an
Everlasting impression in our lives
Leaving us with a parting gift peace, and
Common good to all in their final scene,
And we the actors play our part laying a wreath
Bowing our heads as they walk off stage.
