Judge not a book by its cover
Or watch for wolves in lamb's clothing
Some wise counsel to remember
Else we fall prey of man's cunning
Many times I've been a victim
Of sweet talks and ruthless lies
Naive was I of such crafty scheme
Its truth took me by surprise
Cast your eyes where you trudge on
A net might be spread on the ground
So much bitterness it will be
A trusted kin who will betray
Solemn pledge we must convey
Untarnished love for the family
Make each dwelling a safe haven
A refuge with kindred who'll defend
Never forsaking ‘til the end.
