Poetic Verses
Diamond
He walked down the road
Tottering under this very heavy load
But there was none heavier than the one in his heart
Because with something precious he may soon have to part.
This put him is such a quandary
How would he be able to face his family
There would be plenty of blame, making him shame
Whilst others would look at him in disdain.
He had taken a great opportunity
But had to place the farm into a binding security
Everything pointed to a potentially bumper crop
Then a heavy rainfall came and uprooted all from the spot.
The thought of his brother's disparaging words of criticism
Always left within him that deep chasm
He will only rub it in that he is a failure
But never look at that fact that it was an act of nature.
He looked over the farm dejectedly and tearfully
Then closed his eyed and look repeatedly
Nothing had changed, and this created great pain inside
His only thought was to contemplate suicide
He knew he tried his best , and that caused him to worry
Something must happen and it should in a hurry
He then concluded that he had no other choice
But to effect his own demise.
He then decided to take his final look over the land
Then the espied his son with something highly reflectile in his hand
He said that he had found it by the pond
On examination it was a beautiful diamond.
He was overcome this time his tears were of joy
His eyes were cast up to the sky
Saying I never thought of being capable of seeing a miracle
I have a grave problem and you sent me a gem. What a wonderful spectacle!
