One close to perfection
Knows that being so means
Perfection is not a given
It is earned by knowing mistakes
To become a poet
One is judged by peers
The ability to change
rearrange thoughts imperative
One deleted word
Can be a move forward
In that much I relish critique
Ramblings from a poet
who knows his liabilities
trapped in a lexicon of words
A life on the edge
And cannot let go of reality
Thinking someday I might
Succeed and overcome my frailties
If perfect avoids my writing
The will to strive on does not
For imperfection is all I got
