The Long Road Traveled
Traveled far this walk my crawl
Has seen my rise and too my falls
But press I do to drink of Him
My Lord, my GOD, my second wind
This day will bring new tests of faith
As heart of mine seeks blessed fate
Challenged each day, mere mortal me
Still fights it's war with agony
Though many nights we seemed alone
CHRIST tended wounds and shattered bones
By hands His clean, that bared true scars
Upon this soul, a soul sub par
Yet still He came to tend to me
Us mere nothing, yet in me sees
Someone He loves, someone like you
Today my turn, with breath he drew
Rest today He whispers now
Tomorrow yours will be somehow
Better to walk, pace all your own
Be brave, hold fast dear seed I've sown
Tears now find their way down cheek
With one last look we fall asleep
In arms that kept and keep today
A man once lost just yesterday
The cool night brings angels to warm
To care for me until comes dawn
To walk again this traveled road
Lighter tomorrows once heavy load
