Returning to the old
once was cold,
but slowly transformed
from the ghetto's creed
to the truth of a
one of a kind breed,
but the path of the righteous
isn't taken lightly;
withstanding temptation with
written words developed from
aggravated nouns
pronounced by the evil's hounds
attempting to trap my soul
in the purgatory of their realm,
but dedication to the All Mighty
protects my sanity
inside the bowels of the cruelty
of humanity;
3/4ths of a man,
but 100% American-African even though
mixed with an Indian
view the red hue in my skin!
