In Him, Through Him, By Him

JesusWalkOnCloudstairs

As believers we should never boast
Of good things we may have done.
While pride can be persuasive,
It is something we should shun.

barJesusclouds

We will never receive blessings
Because we think we're good enough.
I would hope we're more mature
Than to buy into this bluff.

barJesusclouds

Not a one of us is good or great...
No one worthy or deserving.
The sad fact is we merit Hell
But God's mercy is our serving.

barJesusclouds

God forbid that we should brag
On other than the Lord's blood loss.
Redemption needs just one reminder
And that reminder is The Cross.

barJesusclouds

The last portion of the Lord's Prayer
Says the kingdom, power, and glory
Belong to Him and Him alone...
After all, He IS salvation's story

barJesusclouds

It's such a high and holy calling
To be of service to the Lord.
But humbleness should open doors
And pride should hastily be barred.

barJesusclouds

Let's be respectful and responsible
And be lavish with our love.
We must be giving yet be grateful
That our leading's from above.

barJesusclouds

There is nothing we can do or say
For brokenness to be made whole.
Yet in Him, through Him, and by Him
We serve to help save someone's soul.

Loving,

When pride cometh, then cometh shame:
but with the lowly is wisdom.

Pride goeth before destruction,
and an haughty spirit before a fall.

But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith,
God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
