The talker...
I listen and listen
and listen some more -
and fight for my thoughts
to break through your door...
But the more that I do
the less they get by -
they bounce off unnoticed
in the midst of a sigh...
The words from your lips
keep coming so fast -
such quickness and slickness
like a steel in the dark...
The echo is hurting
and belting my brain -
drowning my thoughts
as they flow down the drain...
When - in a moment
you stop to take breath -
I shoot in a word
but it falls to it's death...
