Cold is what has just become
The bed we lay in now as one
We toss and turn at night break sweat
This dark room seems with nothing left
I look to ceiling fan for some relief
To blow away our inner grief
To no avail its just not working
Desperate becomes our heart loves shirking
We run a marathon upon a mattress
Empty of one and their caresses
King size dimension but might as well
Be twin for one under bad spell
We watch the clock its glowing hands
From bed where sleep is in great demand
But not tonight as they can't reach
To touch a soul that lives now breached
Whisper her name to feel her presence
A warmer moment, once Christmas present
It does for now to ward some pain
From heartaches caverns much we sustain
This write will tell another story
In the same book chapters of glory
That shed it's light once our fair share
Today none left of good we bared
Roll over to where the scent
Of her still lingers where now repents
A wretched soul that drowns a spirit
Where no ones there, no one will hear it
My sustenance will be my breath
Until our last, until my death
Becomes jail keeper that frees the damned
That once did love, that once was man
