Steadfastly Rooted Prayer
Bow down Thine ear O Lord,
Turn your ear unto me;
My words not be ignored,
What my lips say to Thee.
I am poor and needy,
And having been oppressed,
But not being greedy,
Nothing makes me obsessed.
So please preserve my soul,
Protect me from my foes;
I want You in control,
Helping me through my woes.
For I know You are just,
And will be merciful;
That is why I will trust,
And being dutiful.
Open ears to my prayer,
Hear my supplications;
Of the things that I share,
Easing my complications.
In my days of trouble,
That You can alleviate;
So I do not stumble,
And help to vindicate.
