It's been said absence makes the heart grow fonder
As I thought on this it caused my mind to wonder
Surely this is true for my own love grows stronger
Although the days and months apart seem longer
As your life was formed inside of me up til now
This bond of love can never be severed this I vow
If my heart had windows that you could look into and see
It would be a picture of my love for you thoughout eternity
No time on earth nor death itself could erase
The precious love of a mother exceeds time and space
For in my minds eye a video of your life re-plays
In between the times I get to see your sweet face
So no matter whether we are near or far
This love for you continually grows in my heart
The memories of times shared will never depart
I just close my eyes and think of you and there you are
With a heart full of love for you precious child of mine
May these words penetrate your heart throughout time
Before you were born this unconditional love began to grow
With each passing day it grows stronger I want you to know
I loved you before I even layed eyes upon you
I recall the love overtaking me as I looked into your baby blues
Nothing could've come closer to looking into the eyes of God then
The most precious gift from God as my life journey with you began
You are truly the gift that keeps on giving
No riches on earth compares to God's gift from heaven
I am so blessed to have been chosen as your Mother
For I will treasure it far above that of any other
Oh if for a moment you could feel the love that flows through me
It would overtake you to places you never dreamed you could see
This love I have has been birthed by the love of Jesus unconditionally
Rarely no love can compare to a mother's love except that of Calvary
I can only pray when this life on earth is through
To be a woman of godly wisdom and leave a legacy too
