once upon a time

The wind has stilled.
Shall we dance joyfully in the shadows of today.
Tomorrow our old friends may have faded gently away.

Let’s dance whilst we can in the shadows of the wind.
Let's listen to the chimes of yesterday.
We shall sway gracefully in harmony
with the shadows of our dreams.

Seeking only our old friends.
Remembering in our hearts that once we danced
Whilst the winds of yesterday
Blew carelessly through our lives.

Let us grasp our tomorrows.
As if all the old times would remain
And our todays give solace to the shadows in our lives.

Now we few who remain smile in remembrance
Of all our old friends.
They swept through our lives Leaving stillness
in the deepening shadows of the wind
