Faith Contenders
With God such a good relation,
While thinking of salvation,
And through our lives that we share,
Able to go to Him in prayer.
But I do need to encourage,
One another to discourage;
Backsliding to a world of sin,
Becoming corrupted again.
Some of you can silently slip,
Sneaking off of the righteous ship;
And make you start to disobey,
That would be causing you to stray.
No longer means nothing to them,
And God would rather not condemn;
But obedience is the key,
That you definitely must see.
By giving Him honor and love,
Is an important step thereof;
For following all His commands,
And staying off the sinking sands.
Just be weary of what you hear,
There are some who strike the wrong fear;
Contenders for your faith they preach,
For to stray as they falsely teach.
