To all the time e'er i had,
i've tried to spend it happily.
And any deed that made you glad,
alas it was meant to be.
So fill for me
the thankful glass,
good day and joy remain with thee.
To all the friends e'er i had,
they're happy that i came their way.
To all the friends for whom i'm glad,
they wish us all the time to play.
But if it falls upon one's lot,
that one should live and the other not.
For all the time spent lift the glass so thankfully,
good night and peace remain with thee!
