Recall I could her innocence
Daughter loved dearly, incompetence
Was my downfall for time would pass
Oh so quickly soon too the mass
The aisle will seem endless to me
To walk her down her best I'll see
Once little girl now princess bride
This Sentiment and tears must hide
My hands still feel her warmth at birth
This held treasure my greatest worth
Wrinkled a tad, wet behind ears
This moment ours, my most endeared
My turn would come to feed daughter
Mine not so great my first as father
Would cry when choked she did when feeding
This fragile life, my heart skipped beating
Her childhood years would run right past
This man who thought would always last
But not today for now full grown
Is child now woman, daughter my own
Her time now his and too forever
I'll watch and keep with heart though severed
For she once was my Princess too
But soon his Bride with their I do's
