Though lying here where I should not be.
In a hospital bed I wonder do you love me.
I truly love you, yet I often lie crying and

question is destroying me quicker than my illness.

As I slip into this everlasting sleep, at peace.
Knowing you love me and I, well I have always loved you

Gives me no freedom,
to embrace these last dark days.
