orphan boy

i saw a little orphan boy as sad as sad can be
looking for a home so he could be free
the tears they were rolling down his lonely face
all he ever wanted was a warm and loving place
we walked along together walking side by side
i wiped away the tears that the boy had cried
i took him to my home and there he stayed with me
now he had place called home and his life was free
